Entries have now opened for the 2019 TCR UK championship, with the organising team also releasing more information about changes to the series for its second year.
In addition to changes to the Qualifying and Race formats previously announced, the most noticeable change for 2019 is a significant reduction to the entry fee compared to 2018.
The DSG Trophy will run once again, and there will also be a new class known as the TCR UK Cup. The new class is aimed at drivers who are competing in the true ‘amateur spirit’ of motor racing.
Chief Operating Officer of TCR UK, David Sonenscher, commented: “Together with the announcements we made last week about changes to the Qualifying and Race formats, the news about the lowering of entry fees and the addition of the TCR UK Cup are a direct result of the feedback we received from the teams at the end of our first year. I’ve had really positive reaction in my discussions with potential teams and drivers and so I’m pleased that we’re confirming both as we open entries for the 2019 season.”
Drivers or teams interested in entering the 2019 championship should contact the Championship Manager, Jen Mouratsing, using the contact details on the championship website.
