Ciceley Motorsport are delighted to announce that they are expanding further and will be supporting Teamwork Huff together with their driver Sunny Wong in the TCR UK Championship and James Turkington in the Touring Car Trophy Championship.

Ciceley Motorsport will be running and preparing Sunny’s Teamwork Huff TCR Volkswagen Golf and James’s Seat Leon Supercopa Mk2, alongside their engineers Lyn Wei Jian and Norman Burns.

Adam Morgan Ciceley Motorsport Team manager “We are really excited to be entering these Championships with 2 class drivers and their cars, as a professional race team we strive to grow and are looking forward to working on these new cars. Last weekend our mechanics changed the engine in my car in 51 minutes and these programs, along with our GT team keeps the lads busy and helps us to sustain our BTCC ambitions” Adam continued “I have raced with Sunny Wong in China and he really is a class act, he also competes in an Audi GT3 in the VLN Series. James bought his race car in 2015 and has raced it in the Northern Ireland saloon car championship in 2015 and 2018 winning the championship in both years so he will be straight on the pace in the Touring Car Trophy”.

Norman Burgess Ciceley Motorsport Commercial Director “We get quite a few offers to run cars for drivers, but everything has to be right for us all, good driver, good car and of course the budget has to be in place for us to do a good job. We are then able to ensure that the driver is in a position to win the championship. Everything is in place for these projects and for Ciceley Motorsport to represent the names Huff and Turkington in a Championship is a real honour

Stewart and Nicki Lines who run Maximum Motorsport are the TCR championship’s new organisers have already made a massive difference to the regime and information is now flowing to the teams and the interaction with Maximum Motorsport has given us all renewed confidence that the championships are going to be a great success commercially. The TCR Championship could be of great interest to us a team moving forward, so the chance of getting our mechanics learning and working on the car now is again really positive for the team

Stewart Lines added “It’s fantastic that we are starting to attract teams like Ciceley Motorsport as well as drivers of the calibre of James Turkington. It really shows that the series is heading in the right direction.”
